Amy Cragg

Emma Access Officers

Hey – I’m Amy and I’ll be Emma’s Access Officer until the end of Easter term 2017.

My role is to manage the college outreach programme that encourages students from all backgrounds to apply to the university. By helping to dispel myths and stereotypes, the scheme aims to change perceptions of Cambridge, widening access to everyone and anyone that is capable of applying.

Throughout the year, I will organise more school tours, the Access bus and the Emma and CUSU shadowing schemes. As well as continuing this great work that is already well established, I hope to update the Alternative prospectus, organise teacher training day and provide more information for individuals about how to set up links with their own schools.

Apart from being a member of ECSU, I am a second year MML student studying French and Spanish. I’m a volunteer with SCA, the events officer for the University Languages society, Polyglossia, and a below average yet enthusiastic hockey player.

As I will be on my year abroad in third year, Gemma Pimlott will take over the position in Michaelmas 2017. I’m always looking for keen volunteers to help out with the initiative, so if you are interested, it’d be great to hear from you.
